Hello, It’s me! I had been a little behind on my blog lately but I’m back with lots of new ideas and content to share with ya! So, today is all about cleaning out that wardrobe and letting go of those jeans you’ve probably had since being 18 years old. Little exaggeration? uh no, you’d be surprised how many of us keep useless items of clothing for so many years. Being a fashion blogger with no actual ‘personal style’ means my wardrobe can get a little out of hand sometimes, my rail was ready to collapse last week but my dad came to save the day just in time. I have no more room on my rail whatsoever, so a lot of my clothes get put in a spare room now which my dad is NOT happy about. He’s always confused to why I have so many clothes and why I cling on to things I never actually wear no more. I’ve always been emotionally attached to clothes, is that weird? probably. I find it so hard to get rid of clothes when they have made amazing memories with me, been to places with me, made me look sassy when going through breakups, helped me experiment with style and most important of all, covered up my naked body. Its kind of like a baby’s blanket.
HUMANS HAVE LAYERS!
Ello again, so as I promised here is part 2 of my collaboration with Accessorize and this little camera bag is just the cutest thing ever! This bag is ready to take you into spring with its applique flowers and small compartments because all we need is our camera’s and a lipstick for lovely spring days right? The bag also comes in the colour cream and it definitely puts a key focus to any outfit. The bag comes with its original strap but I opted for the floral embroidered cream strap also from the Eclectic Bloom collection. It goes beautifully with the Navy bag and adds that extra detail. They also have a variety of super cute printed silk scarves that look great tied around the strap of the bag or just simply around the neck. SO, get yourself down to accessorize (or online) and purchase your bag of dreams OR even just to have a nosey and drool over the beautiful florals before they go, because I’m tellin ya they will!
Hello you! how are ya? I’ve been working on something with Accessorize and I’m so excited to let you in on what I’ve got up to. So last week the lovely team at Accessorize invited me into their new refurbished shop in the Manchester Arndale to view their also brand new collection ‘Eclectic Bloom’. The shop actually reminds me of one of those stores that you find abroad that sells all the beautiful jewellery and scarves, it has a lovely layout of perfectly stored pieces and the perfect lighting.
Hello stranger! I’m back. I’ve been super busy with other exciting things that I’ve not had much time to blog. Today’s post is all about you, getting to know me a little bit more. I’ve had my blog over a year now so I think it’s time to throw in some facts about me! I warn you, they’re not very exciting…
1. My full name is Starr Shannon Clare. However, still to this day people call me ‘Clare’ and I’m not sure why haha. YES MY NAME IS STARR.

3. I was born and live in Manchester.
4. I was named after a girl vampire in the 80’s film ‘The Lost Boys’ (very cool film, you should watch it!)

8. I have 12 tattoos and regret almost every one of them apart from my cat ones lol.

To Single Lady,
I am writing this late love letter to you because I was so busy yesterday, spending my Valentine’s Day in lovely restaurants and then I was whisked away to a castle to stay in overnight LOL JKE. I was too busy celebrating an early Easter, watching Pretty Woman in my own company with a crisp butty. Yep, Easter eggs and crisp butties. But that’s ok, right!? Yes, of course! Not everybody has a partner to celebrate the day of love and not everybody will have a lucky someone to whisk them away to a princess castle. Valentine’s Day can make us feel a bit down in the dumps for us single ladies and maybe have us questioning ‘Why am I single?’ ‘Why have I not met the one yet?’ and this is completely normal. This is my second year in row without a Valentine and this year I took it a lot better than I did last year. Last year, I was still moping around over an ex boyfriend who I thought was the ”ONE” but who obviously wasn’t the one because I would have been celebrating Valentine’s with him this year. But I’ve realised there is no point rushing into relationships and wasting time with people you don’t love just because you want to feel loved or wanted, this is a bad move. I repeat, this is a bad move. As cliché as this sounds, there is someone for everyone out there and you probably just haven’t met them yet. So gurrrrrrrrrrrrls pls try to keep up that girl power and appreciate your love for yourself at a time like this.
Ello! How are ya? I’m still hibernating from the cold, waiting for the summer…. PLS HURRY! These images were taken back in December by the lavely Lydia Maycock but I never really got round to sharing them with you (Translation: I completely forgot I had them and they were sitting in a dusty folder all alone). But hey ho, they are now out and open to the whole wild world. Back in October, some of you Instagramers may know I went to the AllSole Live event. To those who don’t know, AllSole is an online shop with a huge range of branded shoes from Dr Martens to Michael Kors. They held an event at Red Door in Manchester for Bloggers to explore some of their favourite shoes from the AW16 collection. The event all together was so much fun with lots of prosecco, live music, nibbles and goody bags involved. I know it was a while back but I’m thinking of doing a little throw back post on the event as I have some pictures I would love to share with ya!
Summer is over and I definitely have the blues! Although Manchester is being kind and gifting us with that extra little bit of sunshine lately! I’m definitely a summer gal at heart but I can say I’m excited for big coats and layers. I’ll miss the pale denims, florals, flowing dresses and the occasional ugly sandal but it’s time to say goodbye and put them to the back of my wardrobe for next year. This summer has been a good’n! Festival season is always a winner because you get to sit in a field drinking beers and watching your favourite bands with your favourite people. I have also had amazing opportunities collaborating with brands and to watch my blog and followers grow so much in a short amount of time means a lot to me.
So, this is probably the last summery outfit you will see on my blog until the sunshine greets us with it’s presence again. Let’s start with the culottes. Culottes were massive this summer and they came in a variety of different styles from metallic pleats to light wash denim. These babies are originally from Zara but I found them on Everythingfivepounds.com for well, 5 pounds! I was so happy with this bargain as they are a good quality denim and they fit like a glove (I clearly haven’t used an iron again lolol) Pale denim goes very well with floral prints so I decided to pair them with a yellow floral high neck top which will also look cute under a mustard or brown Pinafore for Autumn/Winter!

The rust suede tassel jacket goes so well against the yellow florals. However, I have had the jacket for a while now and it’s definitely been worn to death. The tassels are a little tangled and matted so I think it’s time to ditch it and upgrade for a much warmer one for the winter. The bag I absolutely love! The suede patchwork gives you them 70’s feels and the colours will take me right through to Autumn too (p.s it’s a Primark bargain so grab it before it’s gone!). To finish off my look I wore a pair of white pumps because white shoes go with any summer outfit right?
DARING DOUBLE DENIM
Good Morning! I hope your coffee is strong and that your Thursday morning isn’t too gloomy, hang in there! it’s nearly Friday! When I was asked to pick a few items from the The White Pepper SS16 collection this jacket was the first thing that caught my eye. If it’s denim and frilly then I want it! It also has these cute little patches on the back that are just adorable and give the jacket some quirkiness to it. The jacket can be worn as a jacket (of course) but also has shirty vibes when closed, as seen in the pictures above.
I styled the jacket with a pair of Levi denim flares. DUN DUNN DUNNNN… I know, i’ve gone and dared the double denim! Something I have never done before and to be fair I think I did ok right? I don’t even know the rules when it comes to double denim because it’s never been something that I’ve wanted to experiment with but my aim was to avoid looking like a middle aged mum so I went for a pair of jeans that were a similar shade to the jacket. To finish my look off I wore a fedora hat with a pointed boot for a western twist and a vibrant yellow bag for a pop of colour!

See you on the next post for outfit No.2!
The pajama trend is back and even better for SS16. Its been all over the catwalks again and this time it really caught my eye, I really love the matching pieces with the vibrant colours and busy patterns.
Today I’m going to show you my own take on the pajama trend and also show you how I styled the pieces separately for those who are not ready to take on the full pajama look yet!
Two piece – Zara / Coat – Topshop / Shoes – Boohoo
Am I going to a pajama party or a day out shopping? who knows?.. Even if they was a pair of pajama’s they would be the cutest pair of PJ’s evaaa! Or a ‘onesie’ as my ex referred to my outfit as. I got this two piece from the Zara sale a few months ago and how aaaaaaamaaaaazing was the Zara sale!? How did it last so long with so many gems still going strong? (That rhyme wasn’t planned) I can’t remember how much I got this two piece for but it was roughly around the £20 mark and I feel like a little spring lamb leaping over daffodils every time I wear it. If that makes any sense, probably not. I just love the pale mustard and pink together and the material is really thick and chunky. I paired it with a little red cropped jacket because I thought the red went really well against the print on the two piece so I put on a red lippy too! also I didn’t want to wear a big frumpy coat because this two piece is too gorgeous to hide! This jacket is from Topshop many many years ago and was actually passed down to me from a family member. If you look closely it has a really subtle paisley pattern on it and a big 60’s style collar. How cute? To finish my look off I added some tan patent platforms from Boohoo which I thought went really well against the colours too. Oh god, I really need to stop rhyming.
As a matching set it looks really lovely but also looks great when worn with simple/plain pieces. So I played around and styled my two piece separately. The first Image I styled the pants with a mustard jumper from H&M which I thought matched perfectly, a yellow contrast bag and some black loafers from Monki to separate the colours so I didn’t look like a human banana!
The second image I styled the top with a white high neck T underneath to give it some 60’s lovin, cropped wide leg jeans and maroon desert boots.
