Saying goodbye to Summer

Summer is over and I definitely have the blues! Although Manchester is being kind and gifting us with that extra little bit of sunshine lately! I’m definitely a summer gal at heart but I can say I’m excited for big coats and layers. I’ll miss the pale denims, florals, flowing dresses and the occasional ugly sandal but it’s time to say goodbye and put them to the back of my wardrobe for next year. This summer has been a good’n! Festival season is always a winner because you get to sit in a field drinking beers and watching your favourite bands with your favourite people. I have also had amazing opportunities collaborating with brands and to watch my blog and followers grow so much in a short amount of time means a lot to me.

So, this is probably the last summery outfit you will see on my blog until the sunshine greets us with it’s presence again. Let’s start with the culottes. Culottes were massive this summer and they came in a variety of different styles from metallic pleats to light wash denim. These babies are originally from Zara but I found them on Everythingfivepounds.com for well, 5 pounds! I was so happy with this bargain as they are a good quality denim and they fit like a glove (I clearly haven’t used an iron again lolol) Pale denim goes very well with floral prints so I decided to pair them with a yellow floral high neck top which will also look cute under a mustard or brown Pinafore for Autumn/Winter!

Jacket – Boohoo | Top – Primark | Culottes – Zara | Bag – Primark | Shoes – New Look

The rust suede tassel jacket goes so well against the yellow florals. However, I have had the jacket for a while now and it’s definitely been worn to death. The tassels are a little tangled and matted so I think it’s time to ditch it and upgrade for a much warmer one for the winter. The bag I absolutely love! The suede patchwork gives you them 70’s feels and the colours will take me right through to Autumn too (p.s it’s a Primark bargain so grab it before it’s gone!). To finish off my look I wore a pair of white pumps because white shoes go with any summer outfit right?

Iyaaaaaa. Hope y’all good. Last Sunday I went to Leeds Fezzie so I thought I would show you some little snaps I took. Some pretty some not so pretty!! Oh my god, the mud. I’ve never seen anything like it! These pictures are definitely sugar coated. It was past my ankles at one point and me being me didn’t even put wellies on! My poor little Dr Martens are currently still in my back garden caked in mud! Anyhow, this didn’t stop us from having a good time! and how pretty do the flares look! We had a great time getting stuck in the mud, eating cheesy chips and watching our favourite bands even if it did feel like we were on a army training course at times haha! The Jack Rocks This Feeling tent was definitely the highlight of the festival and I said the same thing about it at YNOT Festival. It has new and upcoming bands playing right through the day into the night, the friendliest vibe and you can treat yourself to a cheeky JD and coke or 10 (JD honey and lemonade for me, cheers!)

Into The Office Or Not?

Bonjour! how are ya? I’m currently enjoying a cup of tea in my favourite cafe listening to my favourite tunezzzz so I thought I’d do a little blog post for ya. Today’s post is a kind of casual/work outfit! something that’s suitable for the office but also for days out. I’m gonna break the rules and start with the best first. The blouse. This Victorian style blouse is absolutely stunning and was kindly sent to me from Judas Clothing along side some other beautiful blouses. Pair this blouse with some tailored pants or midi skirt and your ready for the office OR with jeans or a mini A line skirt for some Françoise Hardy 60’s vibes. I like to mix and match so I decided to pair mine with some basic fray hem kick flare jeans, a smart blazer and a pointed shoe. The way I have styled it gives you the opportunity to be able to wear it to the office, a day out or even a date. The cropped kick flares are from Primark and are only £7! I repeat, £7!! They are a lovely thick denim and fit really nicely. They also look way more expensive than Primark which is a bonus! The tweed blazer, I think its tweed.. ( I should know this) I found in a vintage shop called ‘Ryan Vintage’ which has sadly closed down now waaahhh 😦 If your a vintage lover from Manchester you will know which one I mean! The shoes are another gem from Primark which I have already featured in a previous post about where I had a magpie moment and could not resist getting them at such a cheap price! Even if they do slice my feet open but if you want to wear pretty shoes then ya gotta deal with the pain eh? To finish off my look I wore these cool little Ray-Ban glasses which are actually my photographers (cheers Akash haha)

So that is it for today! I’m off because i’m craving a KFC Oreo Krushem!!!!

Hey guys and gals! Hope you had the best bank holiday weekend, I did. Fred Perry Subculture kindly invited me to Dot to Dot festival to watch some really cool bands and party all night in the best little venues with amazing people. I’ll be doing a little blog post on my time at the festival soon (hopefully I got enough snaps)

Moving on… Did you ever think you would see me in a luminous orange beanie? no, me neither. But now you have! and guess what? I kinda like it haha. It isn’t something I would wear but I feel like some kind of cool lil painter in these pictures with the dungarees and simple T. I also really love how the yellow posts look with the outfit.

See you on the next one!

HEYYYY! it’s me looking all swaggy again. I have decided to write a little post as I woke up an hour earlier today for some reason? Sticking to my last post ‘urban/street style’ this outfit is more subtle and to be honest I would wear something similar to this whether I’m going to college or having a lazy day at home but the sunglasses and shoe lace worn as a belt (absolutely love that idea) give it that cool street look twist. I’m actually really starting to take to this style as I feel really relaxed and comfortable when wearing the outfits but i’m definitely not brave enough to take on the full look. Anyway I’m off to do some WERK WERK WERK WERK WERK! sorry it was a super quick one.

URBAN STREET STYLE

DSC_1352DSC_1376DSC_1365DSC_1379DSC_1367DSC_1384DSC_1346

Hey hey hey! hope y’all good. I now think I’m a cool urban american chic after having these photo’s took by a very talented photographer last week. You can have a little peek at his work over on his Instagram here. So, I experimented with a new style that is completely different from mine and something I would never imagine wearing but I can actually say I enjoyed mixing up some of my own clothes with a few items of urban/street style wear. The style and attitude vibes on these shots took me right back to my tomboy side when I was younger, playing on the football team in primary school and never taking my total 90’s off haha. It was actually a little difficult for me to look relaxed and tomboyish on these photos as i’m so used to looking feminine on blog photos. Lately I’ve been wanting to try something new to see if I could pull it off rather than just wearing the same old fitted T and jeans and vintage dresses. Here I have wore my striped pants from Primark which I usually wear with a white T and black blazer but instead we paired them with an over sized T and converse. I really like the lazy laid back look and it’s so effortless in a cool kinda way. To finish the look off I would have probably added a sport/bomber jacket to stick with the tomboy attire.

My next few posts will be sticking to the urban street style theme so keep an eye out if you wanna see more outfit posts like this. Hope you enjoyed this post as much as I enjoyed experimenting with a new style, catch you on the next one!

All about the Beret

Oh hey! How are ya? I feel like there should be an Eiffel Tower behind me but nope just rainy manc! and March why are you so cold? This always happens doesn’t it? We pray to wake up to snow and Christmas day but we are given nothing but rain or the odd bit of sun! Then February and March come and BAM! snow everywhere!! Like seriously c’mon March I’m ready for spring now.. I’m sick of wearing the same old jumper and jeans combo.

Todays outfit is.. well, a little red.. I’ve been obsessed with red lately and I love how it stands out against the duller shades and gives you that pop of colour. The cord jacket I found in a charity shop, its about 3 sizes big but I had to get it because I instantly fell in love ❤ Also I kinda like to wear my coats/jackets oversized. I teamed it with a red lip and beret. I love this beret, at first I went for the black one and had a good stare in the mirror for 10 minutes (ok maybe not that long) but then I decided to give the red beret a try as I wanted to experiment rather than wearing the usual plain black hats AND I’m so glad I did! It’s such a cute little number and adds that little bit of French girl look to any outfit.

The faux snake skin bag I’ve only worn around twice as I only bought it for a festival because I needed a smallish kind of bag to carry my things around. However when I got home I neglected her for a while as I didn’t think she matched with most of my outfits but now she’s back! I don’t know how long for… but at least she’s back. I really need to stop referring items as people.

The top (which is actually a dress) is a really lovely ribbed knit which I tuck into skirts or jeans to wear as a top instead. It has long sleeves with a slight high neck and its supaaaa comfy! With the knit I wore my favourite pair of jeans, The cropped kick flare! They really don’t look like kick flares here because I forgot to iron them before I left the house as you can tell, oops. (Thanks Dad for not telling me I had creased pants!!) These jeans are the best fit I’ve had in a while. Not too big on the waist, not too long on the leg and not too baggy on the bum! a common problem for me when trying to find the perfect jeans because I’m a teeny 5’3 with a 24 inch waist. I still convince myself that I’m going to grow taller but lets be realistic, that’s not going to happen now 😦 To finish my look I wore a printed scarf and suede, black pointy boots which seem to be appearing on every blog post lately!

Hat – Ebay/ Skinny scarf – Boohoo/ Shirt – Ebay/ Flares – ASOS/ Boots – Boohoo/Coat – Vintage

Hello, it’s me! How is it Monday again already wahh 😦 I had such a lovely weekend with the most amazing people! It was really lovely bumping into old friends and getting to know others that I don’t know so well. My weekend was full of dancing, singing, laughing and lots of alcohol, which I needed as I was feeling a little crappy this weekend. I’m still feeling the effects of Saturday now. Like, why do I have the hangovers of a 50 year old man? I’m still a baby, surely I should have a super human body.

Firstly i’m reallllllly sorry for like wearing this coat on most of my blog posts, I do own other coats I promise. It’s the only coat that actually keeps me warm!! and it was absolutely freezing that day. You know them coats that look all fury and cosy and you try it on and it doesn’t even keep you warm? This is why I have trust issues with coats and usually just stick with the one I know best (bit like when I choose boys, sorry) Anyway, today I’ve gone all monochrome on ya which is unusual for me as I like to have a lot of colour in my outfits and don’t tend to be all matchy matchy.

Starting with this black and white star print shirt. I got this shirt off ebay for £4! and it looks lovely right? (also matches my name hehehe) but don’t be fooled! It took at least a month to be delivered which didn’t surprise me in the slightest as it’s from China but after 10 minutes of wearing it the buttons were starting to fall off and the material is so so thin. I know things are cheaply made in China but I didn’t expect the shirt to give up on me that quick! Luckily it lasted through the shoot which was what I needed. But like I said it still looks good right? so at least there is one positive.

I styled the shirt with my black high waisted flares from ASOS which I loved and talked about on previous posts. I just love how they elongate my teeny weeny lil legs. Sticking with the monochrome theme I chose a black skinny scarf and fedora hat for accessories, black pointed suede boots a sheepskin coat. It’s so hard to tell you what I like about my outfit when it’s just black and white as I’m so used to describing the colours and details of my outfits so i’m terribly sorry if this post is a little bland BUT there is still a hint of 70’s in there which is always a YES from me! 🙂

Enjoy

Casual day to day wear

IMG_4307IMG_4305IMG_4319IMG_4317IMG_4311IMG_4322IMG_4331IMG_4312IMG_4309IMG_4316

Hiiiiii! Can I just apologies for doing a really serious resting bitch face on most of these pictures.. the sun was literally beaming into my eyes and it didn’t help being on top of a building on a very windy day. Anyway moving on, how is it Monday again already? weekends seriously need to stop flying by. I quite like my Mondays, well purely just because it’s my day off and I get to lazy around writing blog posts from my bed (currently eating toasted cheese bagels and spooning my cat)

Today’s post is really quick and simple as i’d like to show you one of my casual day to day go outfits. I have wore my vintage Levi flared jeans from COW simply because they are super comfy and are a petite size which means I don’t have to wear a big heeled shoe/boot with them. I paired them with my Primark blouse which I absolutely adore the delicate neck detail on this one and my Topshop leopard boots which I have already explained how amazing they are in one of my recent posts! To finish my look off I have added a pop of colour with this over the shoulder bag which makes me feel like Suzy Bishop from Moonrise Kingdom every time I wear it! I also added a sheepskin coat because it was a bit chillllehhh! I got this coat from a vintage stall at Leeds festival 2015, it was the last day and they was trying to get rid of all the coats and I managed to grab it for a tenner! Bloody bargain!

Hope you enjoyed me sharing my day to day outfit with you, see you on the next post!
