Last week, when I was doing my usual morning post office trip, I could literally see my breath as soon as I walked out my door. I had to come back inside, put down my huge never ending pile of parcels and grab my sheepskin from the back of my spare room! It was a pretty sad moment for me as a lot of you know I’m a little summer child. The feeling of the warm sun on my face is one of the things that make me feel the happiest in life. I love going for walks in the sun, I love eating my breakfast in the garden, I love little summer dresses and most of all I love sitting in a field listening to my favourite bands with a pint in my hand.
It’s less than 4 months until Christmas!! just let that sink in for a minute. I’m so sad that summer (if you wanna call it a summer) is over. Like hello? where has this year gone! When the colder days start to creep in and the jumpers come out from the back of the wardrobe, I become a little grumpier. But lets appreciate summer for one last moment! This cute lil summer dress was definitely one my favourite dresses from this summer. It has the two biggest summer trends in one, gingham and yellow of course! I love the style of the dress with it being a simple cami and it was actually super flattering until I went and bloody ruined it!! Most dresses I buy come up too long on me as i’m very petite SO I decided to get the scissors and trim an inch off to which I got a little bit too scissor happy and took like 4 inches off, oops. So now the dress is a little bit too short and very unflattering for my short chubby legs but hey ho i’m all about body positivity and all that jazz.
After all the panic of not being able to shoot the rest of my summer outfits that I still had planned, there is one thing I’m excited about… Autumnal colours! I love dressing with rusty oranges, browns, dark yellows and changing my make up looks up a bit. But for now, goodbye summer 😥 I will miss you,
