I want to start off this post by thanking Beara Beara for two reasons. 1. For sending me one of the most beautiful bags I’ve ever received throughout my blogging career and 2. For rekindling my love for vintage. Beara Beara are a brand based in London who design beautiful vintage inspired leather bags, they are then handcrafted by an ever so talented craftsmen in Bolivia! The bags are made by using robust natural leather and you can see that a lot of time, dedication and passion has gone into creating these unique bags.
You guys know I’m a sucker for backpacks so when I saw the Beara Beara Alex backpack I knew it just had to be mine. The bag is so spacious but still looks incredibly stylish, it will definitely come in handy for university when I need to carry my books around! Everything about the backpack I love! the shape, the colour, the smell of the leather, the lined tartan inside and the cutest little key that comes with it so you can lock and unlock the backpack! and if that isn’t enough, it’s even embedded with my initials, it really is a special little bag. I can’t wait to see this bag get better with age and I can already see that it’s going to last me a life time! P.s you can get 15% one week discount using my code ‘stylewithstarr’
Talking of vintage, I kinda lost my love for it over the past few months (I know, how could i!!??) But as a fashion blogger, it’s also all about keeping up with the latest trends and providing the links to your items for your readers. I found that it’s a lot harder to blog when all your outfits are vintage and I’ve noticed readers have strayed away from my vintage posts in the past. A lot of people who are into fashion and reading fashion blogs want to know what trends are popular and what’s available to buy right now and that can be difficult when you’re wearing a vintage dress from the 1940’s right?! However, for this post I couldn’t have picked a better vintage dress to go with the vintage inspired backpack! Agree? They are a match made in heaven!
You may have seen me talking about my love for vintage on my older posts, maybe talking a little bit too much about it but vintage clothing is really something special. Nobody will ever own that same vintage dress as you so there’s no worrying about every other blogger wearing the same one or your friend turning up in the same outfit as you on a night out! It’s lived a life before you, maybe many lives before you. Someone else has worn that item of clothing, they have loved and cared for it, been to places (maybe even around the world) wearing it! They have created memories in it, happy ones and sad ones! Now it’s your turn to do the same. For anyone else who may have lost their love for vintage lately, I would definitely get back out there and find some one of a kind pieces and bloody treasure them girl!
