Q: What is your favourite item of clothing ever?
A: It would have to be my vintage velvet floral 1950’s dress! Someone who was a big part of my life at the time bought it for me on my birthday and it’s the most gorgeous dress ever! It’s something I would only wear on special occasions.
Q: What is your ideal writing environment?
A: In bed pls. haha no, let’s be realistic here! Either at my home desk with a brew or in a quiet cafe somewhere.
Q: What is your skin care routine?
A: For a very long time I didn’t have a proper skin care routine but now I feel like I’ve got my shit together and my skin is thanking me for it. I make sure I always take my make up off before bed, cleanse, tone and moisturise. I only exfoliate once a week as my skin is on the sensitive and I use glycolic acid products which I highly recommend! Glycolic acid helps with acne, fine lines, sun damage, uneven texture, oiliness and gets rid of dead skin cells to reveal brighter and smoother skin.
Q: How would you describe your personal style?
A: This is always a hard question for me because I don’t have a personal style, my style can change from day-to-day. I actually written a post all about not having a personal style, you can read it here.
Q: Where is your favourite place to shop?
A: My favourite places to shop are ASOS and Cow Vintage.
Q: How did you grow your blog/Instagram following?
A: This is a question I get a lot and people are usually wanting a quick way to grow their following which is almost impossible. It takes a lot of time and hard work. My advice would be to post frequently (but not too much), interact with other bloggers and just be honest and true to yourself! Brands and followers will like you for that.
Q: What do you find most frustrating about blogging?
A: Brands that expect you to work for free, HELL NO. Ok, I’m happy to help smaller brands out if I genuinely love their products but when bigger brands expect you to write a blog post, post Insagram images and Instagram stories on a certain date and time for £0! That really takes the piss.
Q: Who or what is your style inspo?
A: Oh I have so many! Stevie Nicks, Kate Moss, Debbie Harry, Olsen Twins, Camille Rowe, Lou Doillon and everybody’s favourite Alexa Chung of course! Every day people and places inspire me too.
Q: How do you feel about getting comfortable taking photos in public?
A: It was torture at first! I’m quite a shy person and really don’t like to be centre of attention in situations. I started off just going to really quiet places with my friend and taking shots where there was no people around. But as my confidence has grown I like to meet new photographers and shoot right in the middle of the city! My advice would just to try focus on the camera and interacting with your photographer rather than everything else around you, you’re always going to get that one bald-headed bloke that’s going to give you grief or just be a general perv!
Q: Whats your process for photo taking and editing?
A: Oh god, I am the worst at photo editing and like to just keep it simple with VSCO! I’ve changed my theme up a little and I’m trying to keep it on the warmer side with lots of brown and beige tones. At home I just use my Iphone for taking my general Instagram pictures and for my blog I collaborate with photographers.
Q: What is the best feeling about blogging?
A: Meeting amazing people! and taking part in amazing opportunities!
Q: What got you into blogging and how did you get into it?
A: I started out just posting Instagram outfits of the day pictures and a lot of people were asking where I get my clothes from or how I would style a certain piece of clothing. I always wanted to start a blog but never had the confidence too. When I was going through a really hard time I made a blog to mainly distract myself and keep myself busy, I had no idea I would be making a career out of it. I use WordPress because it’s so easy to use, I would like to revamp my blog up a bit but I’ve not figured out all the coding malarky stuff yet.
Hope you enjoyed this post and thankyou to those who sent me some questions in, I really enjoyed answering them for you!
