Good Morning you lot! I thought I would write-up a little morning blog post for you whilst I’m chilling with a cuppa. So, we all know the second Alexa Chung collection came out not so long ago and I thought I would treat myself this time around. I bought two lovely pieces from the collection, one being this shirt and The Lovell Blouse which I’ll be doing a post on also! The Albion shirt was the one that caught my eye first. The Oriental print is seen everywhere this season and I can’t resist those satin blossom prints, oh so dreamy. I really like the classiness of Oriental prints and I think they can look very elegant when worn correctly.

What I love about this shirt is of course, the print (if you look really close it has geisha girls on it! so cute) but also the shape and material. The large collar gives it a 70’s feel and the satin like material feels wonderful against my skin. The colours are absolutely beautiful. I love how the pale blue and pink stand out against the black and the bits of shimmery copper give it a party vibe, this shirt could easily be dressed up or down. However, I do think they come up big in size and my poor little limbs was making the shirt look very unflattering when the cuffs were fastened. I decided to undo the cuff buttons and just let the sleeves hang and to be honest I think it looks pretty cool if I do say so myself. It actually gives off that Japanese Kimono look with the over sized sleeves so I THINK IT WAS MEANT TO BE (thankyou tiny limbs you cheeky little fashionistas) I styled the shirt with a white frill turtle neck underneath leaving the top three buttons of the shirt undone. I think this gives it more of a relaxed feel and keeps you warm on those cold days, winner winner.

Now, the shoes *drum roll*…..Pink and metallic? YAAASS QEEEEN. These shoes are an absolute dream but a nightmare on my wider feet as they are quite narrow, gutted. (I’m selling them in a size 3 for a little bit cheaper on my DEPOP if anyone is interested).  I think the pink matches really well with the shirt and they look so damn cute with sparkle socks underneath! Girls, that’s your party feet sorted!

That’s it for today’s post, I’m off to find me a dog! (cat lady has literally gone crazy)
